Manuel Vilanova

I am interested in understanding the host immune response to Staphylococcus epidermidis and Candida albicans, two major causative agents of biofilm-originating infections associated to indwelling medical devices. A particular aim concerns the development of immune-based strategies and tools that could help prevent or treat these infections.
