Pedro L. Granja

Group leader of the BIOCARRIER - BIOMATERIALS FOR MULTISTAGE DRUG AND CELL DELIVERY

The overall aim of the group is to develop molecularly-designed, cell-instructive biomaterials as 3D artificial matrices for the delivery of drugs, biomolecules, genes and cells with implications in tissue regeneration and cancer diagnosis and treatment. The group has a strong interest in strategies for bone and skin regeneration, as well as in nanomedicine strategies for gastrointestinal theranostics. For that purpose the group has been exploring advanced technologies such as 3D printing, high throughput screening and organs-on-chip.
